ALLEGRA CHAMBER ORCHESTRA / FESTIVELLE
FESTIVELLE was a 3-day virtual celebration of female-identifying composers from across Canada, presented by Allegra Chamber Orchestra, in association with Opus 59 Films. It featured world premieres of 3 concerti by composers Alice Ping Yee Ho, Elizabeth Knudson and Rita Ueda, as well as pieces by 6 emerging composers selected for the Allegra Chamber Orchestra’s inaugural Composer Mentorship Program: Ashlee Renee Seward, Athena Loredo, Holly Winter, Mari Alice Conrad, Maria Eduarda Mendes Martins and Sasha Kow.
